About Us Phillips-Tuftex was established in Nuneaton during the early 1880's with Alfred William Phillips producing the first hand stitched tennis ball in the world. During the First World War production included hand stitched footballs and rugby balls, many of which were supplied to the army. The Tuftex trademark was established in 1914 and sports equipment was introduced to compliment the range.
We have expanded our range of sports and activity goods and also offer a comprehensive choice of accessories, fitness equipment, special kit packages and sensory equipment.
When selecting our range we endeavour to include items for adults and children of all age groups and capabilities in the hope of encouraging sports and activities for all.

Making A Purchase Making a purchase is easy. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
Prices will remain firm unless circumstances beyond our control dictate otherwise.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice and those charged will be prices ruling at date of receipt of customers' orders.

Goods supplied by Phillips-Tuftex Limited (the Company) shall be at the buyer's risk immediately on delivery to the buyer or into custody on the buyer's behalf (whichever is the sooner) and the buyer should therefore be insured accordingly. In the case of default by the buyer, the Company may give notice to the buyer terminating the buyer's right to possession whereupon the Company may (either with or without previous notice) itself take repossession of the goods and the Company is in such circumstances irrevocably authorised by the buyer to enter any of the buyer's premises for the purpose of removing goods. If, notwithstanding that the property in and ownership of the goods has not been passed to the buyer, the buyer shall deal with the goods in such a manner as to pass to a third party a valid title to the goods, the buyer shall hold the proceeds of such a sale on trust for the Company. The responsibility for any loss or injury after the date of consignment prior to the property in the goods passing to the buyer is accepted by the buyer as Bailee.

Shipping And Handling The amount of £6.75 (excluding VAT) is charged for all deliveries.

All goods ordered are offered strictly subject to availability. All deliveries must be signed for and are made with an itemised Delivery Note. Care should be taken when unpacking deliveries.
Some items may be subject to longer lead-time if they are manufactured to order. Times and dates for deliveries are estimates only and are not binding contractual obligations. Out of stock items will be despatched as soon as they become available. Returns Policy Any shortages, damages or non-delivery of goods must be notified to Phillips-Tuftex Limited by telephone within 3 working days and confirmed in writing within 5 working days. Claims for shortages or non-delivery must be supported by the carrier's consignment or proof of delivery note on which the goods have been signed for as short or damaged, as appropriate.
All deliveries should be carefully checked to ensure that the correct number of packages, boxes or cartons being signed for have been delivered as no responsibility can be accepted afterwards for non or short delivery if there is a discrepancy.
You may return an item to us within 14 working days from receipt of delivery.
To obtain a refund of your original delivery charge you must inform us that you wish to return the item within 7 working days of receipt of delivery. After this period we are not obliged to refund this charge.
Items returned within the 7 day cooling off period:
By law, under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 7 working days after the date the item is delivered.
The Distance Selling Regulations 2000 are designed to protect customers who are not physically present with the seller at the time of purchase. They cover purchases made via email and the internet, together with telephone and mail order.

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the 7 working day cooling off period and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you as follows:
1. Where you are returning an item that was part of a larger order, we are not obliged to refund any of the delivery charge.
2. Where you are returning an entire order, we'll refund the full delivery charge you incurred.

You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 5 days of our receiving your return. If you require an exchange, please place a new order online.
